The annual Edouard Michelin Memorial Race (5K) is scheduled for 21 August 2010 at 8:00 AM at the Michelin Conference Center at Donaldson Center.  Pre-Registration is recommended. The pre-registration fee is $5 per participant.  Day of registration will be from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM on race day. Cost will be $10.

Charleston, SC @ 6:00 PM – PrimeTime Fitness

Runners will be treated to a historical, inclusive tour of all things Charleston as they run along the Battery, past Rainbow Row, down through the Market, and along the harbor in Waterfront Park.  Cobblestone streets, carriages, Charleston single houses, Fort Sumter, tiny alleyways leading to courtyard gardens, and sweetgrass baskets mark some of the sights that you’ll cherish and associate with your run through time.

The Ultimate Stallion 5k will take place May 22 at Furman University. All net funds raised will be used to send pediatric cancer patients to Camp Courage, a special camp designed around the needs of children with cancer. At Camp Courage, these children are free to play, laugh, explore, and grow just like a normal child at camp. The only difference? Children at Camp Courage are provided 24-hour medical supervision by pediatric doctors and nurses. There is no cost to attend Camp Courage. It’s completely funded by GHS and generous support from the community.

5K Competitive Run

The Ultimate Stallion is a 5k run and 1 mile fun run/walk to raise funds for Camp Courage, a camp for children with cancer or blood disorders. It will be held May 22nd at Furman University. The 5k competitive run begins at 4:45p.m., but attendees are able to check in as early as 2:30p.m.

The registration fee includes a t-shirt. The official 5K run will be timed by “It’s About Time”. Race results will be posted on their web site. Entry fee for the timed run is $20.

Entry in the 5k or the Fun Run allows you to participate in the Doughnut Relay, a separate activity where participants must stop to down a doughnut between each leg of the race.

Have you ever run by candlelight!?!? Our volunteers spend hours upon hours to make sure you have an unforgettable running experience. We put together 2,500 luminaries and have to light all those candles! All of this has to be timed just right so that your run is magical. Running through the darkness with only the candlelight leading the way! Our course is challenging and enchanting. Best of all, your entry fees are used to support local charities. Over the past two years, we have donated $23,500 in cash to local charities.

The 14th Annual Greenville Candlelight Charity 5k Run and Family Fun Run/walk will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010. The evening event includes a 5K run beginning at 9pm and a Family Fun Run (approximately 1 mile) at 8pm.
